There is a DIRECT train from London Kings Cross to Pitlochry at 1200hrs on Fridays, and a return train at0925hrs Monday mornings back to London. The journey takes 6hrs 30mins and is very scenic especially from the Forth Rail Bridge onwards. FLIGHTS The nearest airport is Edinburgh. From here you could:- 1. Hire a car and drive (1 hour) north (probably best/easiest) 2. Take a train to Pitlochry (you need to take a bus/taxi to Haymarket Station to connect).
DRIVE Many people choose to drive. It should take approximately 8 hours from London, 6 hours from Birmingham, or 4.5 hours from Manchester (according to Google).
